AMERIKA HAVE
Vilhelm Lauritzen Architects, Amerika plads, 2100, Copenhagen

The structure is 12.500 m2 and was finished in 2017.

The building's composition consists of a base of 4-5 floors with an open yard in the middle. The guiding element, the "tower" oriented to the south, sits in the base and rises up 13 floors.

I worked in close relation with the architect, senior architectural technologist, engineers and the contractor.

Throughout the project I worked with all areas of the construction from basement to roof plans. When I took over the project, one of my key tasks was optimizing the facades, floor plans, roof plans, basement plans, pre-casted bathrooms etc. It was important that the design was buildable and easy to construct, though still maintaining an intersting and harmonious design. I also worked with Illustrator and inDesign preparing sales material for the real estate agent.

My role

Main Architect/Architectural Technologist throughout execution.

Mission

Creating funtional and light apartments whith good details and materials.

VED AMAGERBANEN
Vilhelm Lauritzen Architects, Ved amagerbanen 27, Copenhagen

With attractive 2-bedroom apartments, two-story townhouses and exclusive penthouses, Ved Amagerbanen can accommodate both young people, couples, families and elderly - in a creative and modern atmosphere. All houses have balconies or terraces and are divided into two new settlements, the 'Tower' and 'Længen'.

Through meetings with the clients and the senior architect we designed what became the ’Tower’ and townhouses ’Længen’. Through notes, sketches and dialog with the client I developed the 3D model which created the base model for engineers, landscape architects and the contractor.

Through the process the senior architect and I worked closely together improving floor plans and facades for a functional, buildable and visualy pleasing result.

When creating the design we had to work closely with localplans, the client and other architects building in the area, to ensure a coherent neighbourhood.

I helped designed most of the two buildings, helped with material choices and did research prior to the design as inspiration for the client.

My role

Main Architect/Architectural Technologist from design idea initial drawings.

Mission

Good apartment plans, with architecture that support the area's main function; housing. While respecting the history of the area as an industrial area.

ACOUSTICS PANELS
Lendager Group, for Skanska Epic, Malmø 2018

I part took in defining, designing, and sizing the acoustic panels, created for the atrium of Skanska's newly built headquarters in Malmö, Epic. The panels have sound-insulating qualities and have a felt layer behind the wooden stips, that are created of upcycled window mullions. The panel pattern is staggered so as to avoid any lines. Simultaneously we tried to have as few type-variations as possible so the panels would be easier and cheapy to produce. They would vary in length, pattern, and were limited to a size that a single person could handle. We ended with 15-panel types and about 30 custom panels that we created production drawings for, along with mounting plans and coordination with Skanska on stages for delivery.

Lendager Group supplied upcycled acoustic panels and concrete tiles for Skanska Malmö. In cooperation with LOGIK & CO., IBF A / S, NORRECCO A / S

My role

Creating the system and panel types, and coordinating with the carbender, and modelling it in Revit.

Mission

Creating accustic panels for an atrium from upcycled plastic bottle and old window panels.
